Adaptation Accelerator Program Intern

POSITION SUMMARY - This position is based in Monsterrado County, Liberia
The Adaptation Accelerator Program (AAP) intern will support the Adaptation Accelerator Program to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in adapting to climate change, changing market conditions, and improving their overall competitiveness. They will contribute to various activities to provide guidance and resources to the AAP team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct research on market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to SMEs in the target market.
- Assist in developing training materials, toolkits, and resources for SMEs participating in the program.
- Support the planning and coordination of workshops, webinars, and other capacity-building activities for SMEs.
- Collaborate with program SMEs to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the progress of participating SMEs and provide regular reports to the Program Team.
- Contribute to the program's social media presence by creating engaging content and promoting success stories.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and scheduling meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Experience in basic Microsoft or computer skills
- Willingness to travel outside of Montserrado or hard-to-reach terrains/ communities.
- Flexible to work at most eight hours daily per week.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Working towards the completion of a Bachelor's/Associate's degree or a recent graduate (not exceeding 3 months post-graduation) in business, economics, and entrepreneurship.
- Passionate about supporting SMEs and promoting sustainable economic development.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information from various sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good computer skills, including knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment.
- Has a minimum of 2.5 GPA
